delmas park neighborhood association
Delmas Park is a neighborhood in San Jose, California, situated on the western side of Downtown and incorporating Diridon Station, the major transit hub of San Jose. It is walkable and transit-friendly, and it uniquely encompasses mixed commercial and residential areas from the early 20th century, the commercial strip of W. San Carlos St., and the Lakehouse Historic District. The SAP Center arena, Guadalupe River Park and Gardens, and Discovery Meadow are conveniently located nearby. The geographic area that Google proposes to develop, known as Downtown West, is almost entirely within the Delmas Park boundaries.
Our neighborhood boundaries, shown on the map below, are W. Santa Clara St. on the north, State Highway 87 on the east, Interstate 280 on the south, and the Caltrain tracks and Diridon Station on the west. The Guadalupe River flows along our eastern border, and Los Gatos Creek bisects our neighborhood.

The Delmas Park Neighborhood Association's mission is to undertake projects that:
- Keep the community safe, clean, and vibrant.
- Instill a sense of community in the neighborhood.
- Improve the quality of life of all residents by promoting appropriate projects for infrastructure, services and community amenities.
The Delmas Park Neighborhood Association organizes and engages in activities year round, including National Night Out, the Giving Tree Foundation Christmas event, a Fourth of July street party, Dumpster Day, and Neighborhood Watch. We maintain a close relationship with our District 3 City Council representative, and we partner with local businesses and other institutions, such as the South Bay Clean Creeks Coalition, CommUniverCity, San Jose Downtown Association, and others.
The neighborhood association typically has six or seven meetings a year, each with unique topics and speakers. Meetings are usually held on the 4th Tuesday of the month at 6:30 pm. Meeting locations vary; subscribe to our mailing list to get email notices of meetings and other events. The mailing list is not shared or sold.
